All the founders used to work in Bangalore at the time (sometime in 2005) - all with top IT MNCs - IBM, Texas Instruments and Honeywell. They were friends from BITS Pilani, one of India's finest engineering colleges. During Diwali that year, one of them wanted to spend the festival in his home town. Since he didn't know his schedule till the end, taking a bus was the only choice. He ran around town hunting for a ticket, but they were all sold out minutes before he reached the travel agents. Bangalore traffic is notorious and can grip you at the wrong time. That's exactly what happened that day. That's when he thought of the possibility of providing consumers the convenience of booking a bus ticket over the internet. The objective was two-fold - to ensure that they don't have to leave the confines of their comfort to book a ticket, and to help them get a ticket when they need it the most.

Job Description

Interact with end users to provide and process information in response to inquiries,concerns, and requests about products and services.
Gather information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms.
Follow standard processes and procedures.
Evaluate issues and escalate to relevant team(s) or department(s) if needed.
Collaborate with other teams, departments and divisions to resolve issues.
Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
Tracks each issue to closure and monitors / collates the type of issues occurring frequently.
Works with the relevant team to resolve or automate the frequent concerns.
Proactively interacts with regional teams / stakeholders to understand concerns.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both (written and verbal communication).
Good aptitude.
Good working knowledge on SQL skills & Basic Unix Skills.
Knowledge on how search in logs.
Knowledge of a programming languages.
Ability to script in bash/perl (preferable).

Educational Details

Job Responsibilities

Serves as a point of coordination for invoicing, revenue submission related to the clients in the aligned Business Group.
Serves as the primary source for revenue submission and validation for their aligned clients.
Understands client agreements for assigned clients and applies understanding to revenue processes.
Handle the accounting for monthly close for self and aligned resources (accruals and allocations).
Works with appropriate business partners to ensure the accuracy and integrity of client source data.
Ensures sufficient evidence is received and appropriately track time against budget and for reviewing own and CFA calculations for fee submissions and fee revenue entry.
Reviews for accuracy and provides/ensures sign off on fee revenue submissions prepared by the CFA.
Review invoices prepared by the CFA for accuracy and ensures appropriate explanations of line items as directed by client team project leads.
Act as appropriate point of contact for the client on questions about invoices.
Partners with their aligned Sr. Financial Analyst to ensure client revenue delivery is completed accurately and according to client contracts.
Prepares internal financial reporting for weekly and monthly calls.
Responds to ad-hoc analysis requests.

Other Details

Educational qualifications: BBA/B.COM/MBA( FIN).
Shifts: 12 PM to 9 PM/ 2 PM to 11 PM (occasional evening shifts).
Work experience in any Finance process with strong experience in Billings & revenue reporting.
